Access Command and Continuity - Common Pass™ provides coordinated access management across locations controlled by existing diverse access control systems.

Challenge Common Pass™ Solution
Organization-wide ID management Provide an organization-wide ID database which can then be stored at any door anywhere, even where the IDs are unknown to the existing access control system
Leveraging existing resources Common Pass works with existing access control systems or stand-alone
Planning coordinated access Utilize user-defined Common Pass™ Situation Modes to define which groups are allowed access
Allowing centrally coordinated access Activate the Situation Mode to allow coordinated access, even if the people and IDs are unknown to the existing access control system
Supporting all ID formats Accepts any ID format including FIPS-201 ID cards, even where the existing access control panels are not designed to accept these ID cards

Establish a global common database - load 400,000 IDs at any door anywhere - even doors controlled by existing diverse access control systems.

Interoperate with existing access control systems –
build Common Pass™ Situation Modes to specify how Common Pass™ interoperates with existing access control systems.  For example:

Situation 1 - allow the existing access control system to operate autonomously
Situation 2 - allow the existing access control system to operate autonomously and allow Common Pass™ to provide alternate access
Situation 3 - command Common Pass™ to assume complete access control

Create Situation Modes - Situation Modes also define which groups of people are allowed access. Situation Modes can represent “Normal Operation” or safety or security related events. Switching Situation Modes changes which groups of people are allowed access. For instance, safety officers can be granted access based on a specific Situation Mode.

Activate Situation Mode –
when a condition changes, activating the pre-loaded Situation Mode allows access to specific groups, even where these groups are unknown to the local existing access control system

Any Person - grant access to people unknown to the local access control system. These people can include safety officers, security officers, owner/operators, tenants, contractors, non-local employees or temporary workers. Common Pass™ has a capacity of 400,000 IDs (millions with pluggable additional memory) at each door. IDs can be administered from anywhere via a secure network connection and a web browser.

Any ID - carry a single ID card. Access can be granted to any ID format, even if the existing panel is not designed to accept these formats. These ID formats can include advanced state of the art “smart” cards including FIPS-201 cards. Three additional readers of any format can be added at any door.

Manage and administer via a Web browser - Update people and rules, and track audit activity via a Web browser and graphical site maps.
